James Tulloch was a general merchant, grocer, draper, blacksmith and a Lerwick Town Councillor.

Biography

In 1835, James started a blacksmith in Lerwick and continued for some years until he switched professions and became a draper, which he continued through until 1890.

After retiring from his business, he moved briefly to Edinburgh before later heading west to Glasgow to spend his final years living with his sons.

He was a staunch Liberal who was a supporter of Gladstone.
