Thomas Arthur Sinclair was the Lerwick postie and a Town Councillor, initially between 1936 to 1938, then later following the death of William G. Smith, he was elected in 1942 until 1945. He later served from May to November in 1946. He unsuccessfully contested the 1935 and the 1938 Lerwick Town Council election.

Biography

Thomas was for some time in the 1930's the vice-president of the Lerwick Workmen's Club, and President from November 1935 and by 1942 was secretary of the same club. In later years he was an avid writer of letters to the Shetland Times.

He stood for and was elected under the Labour Party banner.
