Andrew Robertson was a wine/spirit merchant and a County Councillor for Northmavine North from 1897 until 1903.
Biography
Andrew had a shop in Lerwick named Turk's Head in Market Street (previously known as Market Refreshment Rooms) and was for some time the proprietor of Sandwater Hotel in Weisdale. He began business in Lerwick around 1886, prior to which he was the an assistant to Peter Tulloch in his business. He acquired that business from the latter's trustees after Tulloch's death.
In 1903, Andrew was declared bankrupt and as a result lost his seat on the County Council.
