John Tulloch was a merchant (John Tulloch Knitting and Weaving factory) and County Councillor for Northmavine North between 1925 and 1935. His son Andrew was also a councillor. He unsuccessfully contested the Northmavine North seat at the 1935 County Council election.

Biography

John ran the successful knitwear firm John Tulloch Knitting And Weaving until 1947, when he sold the business. In 1948, then founded knitwear company John Tulloch (Shetland Products) Ltd based in Montfield.

In 1976, John was the first recipient of an honorary life membership to the Shetland Chamber Of Commerce. He had at that time been a member for 40 years, 12 of those as vice-chair.
