James Henderson Sutherland was a fishcurer and County Councillor.
Biography
Though born in Unst, James moved to Lerwick as a young man and spent time between both areas.
James worked for some time with D. & J. Sutherland, merchants in Unst. His son John was a well known heraldic artist in Edinburgh.
In February 1892, James was appointed as Postmaster in Unst.
