Charles Gilbert Duncan Sandison was an author and County Councillor for Unst North between 1929 and 1937. He was the fifth child of Charles and Mary Mundell . His father was known as the 'Grandfather of the Council', as he represented it for over 30 years.
Biography
Charles had the opportunity to begin a career in aeronautical engineering, but the pull of working in his family's business, Alexander Sandison & Sons Ltd was too great and so he returned to Unst and became head of that firm.
