Reverend William Graham Carson was the minister for Fetlar and a County Councillor for the same area from 1932 until his death in 1937. He unsuccessfully contested the Fetlar seat at the 1929 County Council election.
Biography
William trained as an educator and became the sole teacher in Olnafirth school in 1911. In 1914, he was appointed as assistant teacher in Lerwick Central School and remained there until 1916 when he left teaching to enter the ministry with the Church of Scotland. He attended Glasgow University and graduated in 1922 wherein he was called to the Fetlar Parish, a position he held until his death aboard the Earl of Zetland.
