Laurence Laurenson was a fish salesman, a Lerwick Town Councillor between 1934 and 1937, and also a County Councillor for Cunningsburgh between April 1940 and May 1945. He unsuccessfully contested the Tingwall seat in the 1945 County Council election and the 1937 Lerwick Town Council election.

Biography

Laurence began work in the grocery trade, but after a period in Ayr he returned to Shetland and was employed by Captain Johnson, John W. Robertson and the Moray Firth Fish Selling Company. He sold at Sandwick, Lerwick and other ports, before later going into business on his own.
