Robert 'Bob' Strachan was a Post Office Engineer, a County Councillor for Burra and a Lerwick Town Councillor between 1959 and 1962.
Biography
In 1963, he was Shetland's Civil Defence Officer, and served four years. He then took up a role with the Orkney County Council as development assistant, and performed the same duties for Caithness in the mid 1970's. In 1974, he took up a new job in a private industry in Caithness.
