Adam James Jamieson MBE was a merchant, justice of the peace and a County Councillor for Burra between 1913 and 1919. He unsuccessfully contested the 1919 County Council election.

Biography

Adam was educated in Scalloway, and began his career in the town. He worked with Robert Fraser (after whom Scalloway's Fraser Park is named), after Robert left for Aberdeen. Henry Mouat described him as "everybody's right hand man".
